Ann Hernandez
Currently the Director of Leadership Programs and Inclusion at Space Center Houston, Ann Hernandez works with corporate partners on tools for effective teams and individuals through the Human Performance Accelerator Lab, based on research from NASA. After studying the performing arts and education at Knox College in Illinois, Ann became an elementary classroom teacher in southern Arizona, focusing on how students’ identities at home and school intersect. Later roles in Michigan, Washington, DC, and Texas included designer of inclusive educational content at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum; learner and mentor in the Association of Science andTechnology Centers’ (ASTC) Diversity and Leadership Development Fellows Program; manager of inclusion initiatives at ASTC; and thinking partner to museum and zoo CEOs and boards participating in American Alliance of Museums’ Facing Change Project.
