Lorraine Yglesias

Advisor | Monterey Bay Aquarium
“Knowledge is power and education is key. Public spaces need to reflect and welcome their community for long-term success.”

Lorraine Yglesias is a compassionate leader with a solid ability for amplifying brands, especially in the Latine space. As Director of Multicultural and Inclusive Marketing at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, she positioned the Aquarium as a welcoming space, increasing Hispanic engagement from 8% to 25% during her two-decade tenure. Previously, Lorraine played a key role in expanding the US Hispanic and Latin American markets for Silicon Valley–based Comcast (now EffecTV), Lorimar-Telepictures (acquired by Warner Bros), and The Hollywood Reporter. Lorraine’s commitment to community runs deep. She serves on the boards of organizations focused on creating an equitable economic future for agricultural workers and conserving open spaces. Recently, she was appointed to California’s Monterey County Commission on the Status of Women and Community Action Partnership. The daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, Lorraine thrives as a mentor and advocate.
